About James
James is Chief Executive Officer and principle of BH Group, he has over 25 years experience developing a wide range of commercial projects and has worked with a number of the major funds throughout the UK.
As well as extensive development experience, James now also specialises in the acquisition, development and repositioning of operational real estate, building a portfolio of strong operational businesses and teams.
Between 2000 and 2024 he has developed over 50 projects with a GDV of £975m and totalling 2.05m sq ft.
Prior to BH Group, James worked for Business Homes climbing up the ranks to become managing director, where he took the company from a small business in the North to a nationwide leading developer of small commercial space.
Having studied Estate Management at Oxford Brookes, James qualified as a chartered surveyor and worked with some of the major surveying practises including King Sturge, Lambert Smith Hampton and Jones Lang La Salle.
A keen sportsman, James does a lot of running and keeping fit and when time allows, loves indulging his passion for golf and skiing. Most weekends are taken up with his family, he loves nothing more than watching his son and daughter playing sport.
